Formally established in 2004, this committee's mission is a service cooperative within St. Nicholas Parish that supports and strengthens the work of other parish ministries, by providing an accessible pool of effective communication-based resources.
The ministry will assist all parish ministries, parish staff and other church organizations in communication services by providing support such as technical electronic assistance, written document creation and development and speakers to assist in the dissemination of information.
There are four groups in our ministry:

Some of the services we offer include assistance with and/or creation of:
PowerPoint presentations
Speech writing
Graphic design and desktop publishing (e.g. flyers, logo creation, posters, newsletters, etc.)
Electronic communications (consultation regarding email, web design, data entry, database development, etc.)
If your ministry would benefit from our assistance, please contact the Parish Office. Margaret Ninomiya can provide you with a form (or you may download a copy – see sidebar) to request the type of media you wish to be designed for the promotion of your event.
Once the Parish Staff and Pastor have reviewed and approved your request, then the project will be handed over to the Communications Ministry. We will work with you throughout the process. Please plan your advertising requirements well in advance of the event so that the Parish Office and the Communications Ministry have ample time to complete the project.
The Communications Ministry does not have printing facilities. Once the final copy is ready for publication, then your ministry should work with the Parish Office to arrange for printing and distribution.

We welcome new members! It is helpful for members to have a computer with e-mail for fast communication. We meet on an as-needed basis with much of our work being done electronically.
