Membership in St. Nicholas CCW is open to all women in the parish. Simply attending a meeting, or contacting a board member and paying $10. yearly dues is all it takes to become a member.
NCCW was formed over eighty years ago at the request of the U. S. Conference of Catholic Bishops. They were looking for a group that would be informed of the Bishops' concerns, would get their message out to the parishes, while educating, affirming and supporting Catholic women in the areas of spirituality, and in addition, taking an active role in Christ's call to serve their parish, their community, their country and all people (men, women and children) of the world.
WUCWO has representation at the Vatican and their women sit on a couple of the Holy Father's Committees. The Orange Diocesan Council of Catholic Women is the direct link between the
NCCW and St. Nicholas CCW.
St. Nicholas CCW runs two fundraisers minimally each year, donating all income to many worthwhile organizations including:
This word of thanks to the Lord for his mysterious plan regarding the vocation and mission of women in the world is at the same time a concrete and direct word of thanks to women, to every woman, for all that they represent in the life of humanity.
